A Stroll Around British Camp, December 2008

My thanks are extended to Phil Graham and his wife who kindly sent me these photos of a chilly walk around British camp! He wrote in to say -

“My wife and I celebrated our fifteenth wedding anniversary with an extended stay with relatives in Bishops Cleeve. The highlight of our stay was when said relatives took us to British Camp for an invigorating chilly walk on Sunday. As seasoned walkers in our local Weardale and Teesdale we fully appreciated the splendour of the Malverns.”

Always please that someone has made use of the site and enjoyed the wonderful country in these parts, Phil!

Looking South-West from the top of British Camp

View from the head of Broad Down towards Summerhill and the

distant Cotswold scarp.

Nearing the end of Broad Down, with an enormous December sky!

Family group - behind is the Severn plain.

It’s easy to see where the sun hasn’t managed to get to here on the Eastern slopes!

Yet looking North to British Camp it could almost be summer!

‘Is that Worcester over there?’ It certainly is - or maybe a hang-glider!

A real December scene - looking South-West towards the Eastnor obelisk.
